Bright and Clean Learning Environment

Written by

A clean and bright learning environment is a key ingredient to successfully educating children.   We consider the need for cleanliness to be of utmost importance.  Our facility is cleaned daily. Toys are cleaned and sanitized daily as well.  During operating hours, we take full advantage of the sun and its warmth.  Rather than turn on a light, we prefer natural lighting whenever possible.  We’ve found this combination; a bright and clean learning environment creates a relaxed and secure atmosphere.  Come visit our facilities, we’re sure you’ll agree.

Competent and Loving Care

Written by

At Little Feet Child Care, your child is our child. We believe that every child deserves the same type of loving care that any parent would naturally offer. In addition to raising four children of her own, Center Director, Petra Guy has over 15 years experience managing and teaching in US Air Force licensed and private day care centers. Petra further enhanced her teaching skills working with children under 10 as a language immersion instructor and is currently pursuing a BS in Early Childhood Education.

Little Feet is more than just daycare, it’s a warm, relaxed atmosphere where your child’s individuality is celebrated and nurtured. We know that during these formative years, your child is developing many of the cognitive and reasoning skills that are essential for life-long learning. We understand early childhood development and work with you to develop unique age-appropriate activities for your child that:

· Encourage creativity and exploration

· Build self-confidence and independence

· Stimulate the natural desire to learn

· Foster a sense of community

· Are fun, healthy and educational!

We know the difference that love and education can make in the life of a child and invite you to stop by and see for yourself what sets Little Feet Child Care apart from the rest. Call us today to set up some time to visit and talk about your family’s child care needs.

Guided Learning Programs

Written by

Little Feet Child Care offers a guided learning program designed to challenge and stimulate in a loving, nurturing environment. We realize that each child in our care is individual, learns at a different pace and has varying strengths and interests. Our program is designed to allow the greatest flexibility, while providing care in a safe, warm and friendly home-like setting. We do not believe “one size fits all.” We’ll discuss with you your expectations and work together to ensure your child’s success while under our care. You have our word on that!

At Little Feet Child Care and Preschool, our preschool program is multicultural and multilingual (German and English). We offer individualized attention with activities based on the age and developmental maturity of each student. Daily activities are planned to provide children with a wide variety of learning experiences. Some of the activities include:

Play is also a major component of our program. Enough time, materials and space will be provided for children to actively explore the world around them. Children will have an opportunity to use a variety of creative art materials and manipulative equipment.

· Language development:  books, music, story time, finger plays, flannel board stories

· Large muscle skills:  balls, hula hoops, bean bags, swinging, outdoor play

· Small muscle skills:  arts/crafts, stringing beads, pegboards, blocks

· Creative expression:  dramatic play, puppets, music/instruments, flannel board

· Self-help skills:  assist with mealtime preparation, dress self for outdoors

Children, including infants and toddlers, will go outdoors daily when weather permits. We occasionally take field trips and walks around the neighborhood to visit places such as the Fire Station and local parks.
